About Kivalliq Library Services

The Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library provides information services for health care providers working in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut and the community of Sanikiluaq.

Library services are provided as part of the service purchase agreement between the University of Manitoba and the Nunavut Department of Health and Social Services. Ongomiizwin provides medical services to the communities in the Kivalliq Region and the community of Sanikiluaq. As well as participating in health research and education activities; the NJMHS Library provides information services to the nurses, physicians, social services staff, medical rehabilitation and allied health staff working to support the health care needs of people living in the Kivalliq Region.
