• Used to find single articles based on bibliographic information
• You do not need to fill in all the boxes
• The quickest and easiest search is to type in the title of the article
• If that does not work clear all boxes and add: year, volume, issue, page numbers

• Use nesting to create an accurate search, i.e. stroke AND (physical therapy OR physiotherapy)
• Switch the results to Best Match
• Use limits on results page refine the search
• If you find a very good article use the "Similar Articles" links on the right hand side to find more similar articles

I Need to Find Articles on Very Specific Topics 

Do this search for finding articles on new techniques and products

• Select a database: PubMed, CINAHL, SCOPUS
• Search the term or phrase in the title and abstract field
• Put phrases in quotation marks, i.e. "physical therap*"
• Use wildcards (the asterisk  symbol *) to find variations of a word, therap* will find therapy, therapies, therapist, therapeutics, ...
• Include acronyms in search
