Administrative history: When Tache Hall residence opened in 1912, it accommodated two-hundred women and three-hundred men. The university dietitian also catered for external events that took place at the university, such as Manitoba Women's Institute Conventions. In 1970, the position of Dietitian was changed to Director of Food Services. The following people held the position of dietitian between 1915 and 1970: M. R. McKee (1915-1916), Olive R. Cruikshank (1916-1920), Lenore Panton (1920-1948),  Beatrice Brownlee (1948-1958), Anna Rydeen (1958-1965?), and Louise Smith (1965-1970).
