My Health in the News

My Health in the News are summaries of health-related media reports on issues that affect your health created by Health Sciences librarians at the University of Manitoba. We provide links to health information and what the news stories mean to you and your health. We also provide a list of questions you may want to ask your doctor.

What Is Consumer Health

Consumer health information is any information that you need to make informed decisions about your own or your family's health. Access to this information helps you to work with health care professionals to make choices that are right for you.

For help on learning how to get involved in your healthcare and more about patient rights see the S.A.F.E. Toolkit created by the Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety.

To learn what kind of information services are available to you offered by Winnipeg Public Library and the University of Manitoba Consumer Health Information Service, see Library Services.
