When researching an artist, or art movement or "ism," a great starting point is the Oxford Art Online and the many encyclopedias and dictionaries in the Reference Collection. Look up your artist or movement to get background information and possibly a bibliography for further research. Next search the library catalogue for books and then the databases for articles.
