The One Stop Search is the primary way to search for items at the University of Manitoba Libraries. If you have visited the U of M Libraries' homepage, you surely have seen it.
From the search field, you can find any items that the Libraries has access to, including books, scholarly articles, journals, newspaper articles, subject guides, DVDs, streaming video, and more. Some of these items are physical (hardcover books, bound journals) and some are digital (online articles, subject guides).

You can renew the items you have already borrowed ("loans") to give you more time before they are due. You can renew your loans when you sign into your library account.
Accessing the full text of an online book or article allows you to read the entirety of the item. When you find an online book or article that you want to read, click on the Full text available link from your search results.
You can find out if one of the libraries at the University of Manitoba Libraries has a copy of the item and whether it is currently available by looking at the item's Availability. In your search results, for physical items there will be availability information viewable.
One Stop Search's Advanced Search menu allows you to mix various search elements to create a focused or specialized search of all Libraries materials.
If you want to check to see if this is the right edition of a book, find a summary or chapter titles, and other information, check the Details section. When you have found an item you are interested in, click on the item's title and a pop-up window will appear.
The See all versions link on the results page groups together items that are similar, for example - all editions of the same book. This is important if you would like to see if there is a newer or older edition of the same book.

Related reading is typically given for journal articles and is viewable on the right-hand side of the pop-up window when you click on an item's title.
