Summary:  This is a perfomance-based test of unilateral gross manual dexterity. Individuals move, one at a time, the maximum number of blocks from one compartment of a box to another of equal size, within 60 seconds.  

Format:  Standardized motor performance tasks

Population:  Individuals of different ages with upper extremity disabilities  

Completion time:    60 seconds for the test, and 5 minutes to administer

Equipment   

  • Block wood: 2.5 cm cube (150 pieces)
  • Two equal size boxes to hold the blocks with a 15 cm high partition separating each box
  • Stop watch
