Revised comprehensive norms for an expanded Halstead-Reitan battery demographically adjusted neuropsychological norms for African American and Caucasian adults

Author: Robert K Heaton

Summary: The manual in this kit describes a normative system designed to assist clinicians and researchers in their interpretation of the tests in an expanded Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Test Battery. A major purpose of this system is to improve neurodiagnostic accuracy by providing simultaneous corrections for four demographic variables that relate significantly to test performance: age, education, sex, and Caucasian as well as African American ethnicity. Another purpose of the system is to convert raw scores on diverse tests to standard scores, all of which have the same distribution in groups of neurologically normal adults.
