Online Course Resources for HMEC 2030W!
The objectives of the online resources are to accompany or supplement class lectures or discussions, and to provide an additional space for students to exchange or share the processes of learning the basic building blocks of academic and professional writings.
Online activities related to Assignment #1, #2, #3, and #4 will take place in Angel. The link to Angel is made from this site. You will be prompted to login to Angel using your UMNet ID, if you haven't done so. There are two ways to get to the Assignment. You can start from Lessons =>Assignment #1 or Assignment #2 or Assignment #3, or also from Communicate =>Discussion Forums.
Library Resources
This guide will also provide links to library resources and they will prompt you to login with your Library ID and PIN if it is your first attempt and you are working off campus.
Writing Tutors
Students taking undergraduate courses can meet with writing tutors from the Learning Assistance Centre for 30 minute appointments. Tutors can work with students at any stage in the writing process, from brainstorming ideas and refining thesis statements to clarifying ideas in a draft. You can book an appointment online or call the Learning Assistance Centre at 480-1481.
