HMEC 2030W - 2011 Summer Session: Outlining

Key resources to work on Paper #1, #2, & #3 of the course.

Cool Mind Mapping Template

Online Assignment #2

Assignment #2 consists of two parts.

Part 1:

Use Coole Mind Mapping Template, provided by University of Arizona Libraries, and develop a draft outline of your paper based on your brainstorming and mind mapping activities.  Post your working outline in Angel. (Unfortunately, the Coole Mind Mapping Template has no saving function.)  To post your outline in Angel, go to the Communicate heading =>Post your Draft / Working Outline.

Format:  In the subject line of your post, type "XXX's Submission," where XXX should be your first name.

Due Date: May 11, 2011

Part 2:

After reviewing all the outlines posted by your classmates, select two examples that you think are particularly effective and comment on them.  Your comments should focus on what you have learned from the two outlines. (For example, which outlines are particularly effective in showing how the writer will build her paper?) Simply reply to the posts on which you are commenting.

Due Date: May 13, 2011
