Connecting from Off-Campus

The University of Manitoba Libraries use a proxy server to allow access to licenced electronic resources from off-campus. When you choose a resource that needs to authenticated you'll be asked for your Library ID and PIN. Here's what they are:

Library ID

  • U of M Students - All 14 digits on your Student ID Card
  • U of M Faculty and Staff - All 14 digits on your ID Card

Library PIN

  • New Students - Change your PIN
  • Your default PIN is your YYMMDD birthday BUT you must change this before it will work to access resources from off-campus.
