The classic version of SciFinder will be retired as of August 15. The new interface of SciFinder is called SciFinder-n. SciFinder-n has several new features and search options. Saved alerts in SciFinder Classic will need to be migrated to SciFinder-n before August 15. Information on transferring saved alerts to SciFinder-n are located on the SciFinder-n website.
If you try signing into SciFinder-n and receive an error, clear the cache in your browser and try again. If you still have problem accessing SciFinder-n contact Marie Speare.

Several training resources are available on the SciFinder-n Training website. There are recorded webinars and short videos available on substance, reaction, reference, patent and biosequence searching.
Register for upcoming webinars or view recorded webinars on how to search for different types of substances or use new features like the retrosynthesis planning feature.
SciFinder requires a one-time registration and creation of a username/password. You'll need to login with this information each time you use SciFinder.
1. Go to SciFinder User Registration
2. Review the instructions for creating the username/password, then click the registration link at the end of the page. You must register with your University of Manitoba email address.
3. When you receive your confirmation email (which may go to your spam folder), click the link in the message to complete the registration.
4. Go to SciFinder Login to log into SciFinder.

To locate full-text articles click on the link to Full Text in SciFinder-n (use the Library Access button in other databases). To access these resources off-campus use your UMNetID and Password. Then select Check Library Access. If you select DOI you will need to install the Library Access Browser extension in order to access resources that are paid for by the Libraries.
