Library Tools

LibX Library Toolbar

The LibX Library toolbar installs a toolbar to your browser from which you can search One Stop Search, BISON, our list of E-Journals, UMLinks or Google Scholar. It also includes links to the catalogue and the Libraries' home page.  It can also be used to reload a web page through the University of Manitoba Libraries ' proxy server so that you can have access to resources to which only on-campus users have access.

Proxy bookmarklet

A bookmarklet is a small program that is embedded in your browser.  The bookmarklet lets you access resources licensed by the library from outside the Libraries’ webpages. Clicking the URL you are interested in and then clicking the bookmarklet in your Links (Firefox) or Favorites (IE) list will take you directly to a login page where you can enter your library ID and PIN and have direct access to the resource.
