Scopus is an interdisciplinary database covering literature in the scientific, technical, medical, social sciences. Arts and humanities content from 2002 in a variety of subject areas has recently been added. Several different types of alerts can be created including cited reference alerts.
Web of Science is an interdisciplinary database covering literature in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. Topic, journal table of contents, author and cited reference search alerts can be created in this database.
