Reserves are short term loans.
Loan terms for reserves can range from one hour to a few days.
Books, course readings, audio-video materials, and other items are often placed on reserve by a course instructor's request.
Are you an instructor looking for
information about putting materials on reserve?
Visit the Course Reserves page on the Faculty Help Hub.
If an instructor says that you have course materials on reserve, you can search for them via the Course Reserves tab in One Stop Search.
Because reserves are high-demand items, we need to ensure that people return them by the due date and time. For this reason, late fees apply to reserve materials.
Total fines will not exceed $50.00 per item.
Many of our branches are now offering course reserves via self-serve kiosks. This new service means that students have access to reserves as long as the building housing the kiosk is open. An important note: reserves must be returned to the same locker they were borrowed from!
If you have questions about using the self-serve machines, don't hesitate to ask library staff on site, or email us a question in advance.
