Sherri Vokey is the Head of the Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library and an Associate Librarian with the University of Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an MLIS in 2002, and received an M.A. from Queen's University in 2000.

She has held a number of positions at the University of Manitoba Libraries since joining in 2010. Sherri is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library, which supports the teaching, research, and patient care requirements of the faculty and students of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences located at the Bannatyne campus.

Current Research Activities

Sherri is presently focussing on three primary areas of research:

  • trends in-person instruction in academic libraries
  • the role of procedural justice in the development of library-led bibliometrics services
  • critical analysis of library service automation through the lens of conspicuous consumption.
