Collection Background
The assessment tool collection encompasses all assessments that are used in medical rehabilitation with a primary focus on physical therapy and occupational therapy. In general, assessment tools collected would measure various aspects of physical functionality, pain, disability, sickness, mental health, occupational performance, activities of daily living, vocational, leisure, play, sensory awareness/integration, perception, visual motor integration, motor skills, infant and child development, social skills, environment in the context of disability, communication skills and spirituality. This collection supports teaching and research at the University of Manitoba's School of Medical Rehabilitation.
Scope of the Collection
The assessment tool website has been designed to facilitate access to and use of the assessment tool collection as well as being a resource for assessment tools. This website serves the University of Manitoba Libraries’ client community and the content has been prepared with that focus in mind. However, anyone interested in rehabilitation assessment will find this website useful.
