Food & Beverage Policy

The University of Manitoba Libraries allows the consumption of food and beverages within reason and in most public areas of the Libraries.  To help keep the library a clean and pleasant environment for everyone to use and to preserve library collections, library users are asked to adhere to the following:

  • ·         Non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.  Beverage containers should have secure lids to avoid spills.
  • ·         Food deliveries to the Libraries are not permitted
  • ·         Library users are responsible for disposing of their own garbage and should notify staff immediately of any spills or related damaged
  • ·         Food and beverages of any kind are prohibited in certain areas, such as Group Study Rooms, computer labs, special collections, etc., as designated by individual libraries.
