Forwarding your Phone - New Cisco Phones

Forward using Jabber

Assuming you have one of the new Cisco phones (this is not applicable for the other phones), you can forward your phone to another number using jabber, so you don't have to go in to forward it.  In order to do this:

  1. Sign in to jabber.
  2. Click on the settings gear
  3. Go to the "self-care portal," open self-care and log in
  4. On the webpage, in the left-hand navigation bar, you will see "Call forwarding."  You can change the number there; make sure to save.

  1. VPN in to the UofM
  2. Click on https://smacs.ad.umanitoba.ca
  3. Login with your UMNetID and password
  4. Forward phone
