NEW Interactive Tool for Physical Materials Requests

We've created an interactive tool for Ask Us staff who are helping faculty and students navigate the path to obtain materials from the collection.
While we have tried to simplify the process for our users in the "We'll get it for you" guide, the process is much more involved for us.

Use this tool to begin a request for book or article and navigate the path with your client.

Course Reserves for Fall 2020

There will be no PHYSICAL reserves available for Fall term, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The Libraries will try to obtain digital course reserves that instructors can use in UM Learn. We can accomplish this in two ways:

  1. Obtain a digital version of the item, wherever possible.
  2. Digitize what we can within fair dealing (chapter or 10% or less of a work).

Please have faculty and instructors contact their Subject Liaison Librarian, either by email or by scheduling an appointment, to discuss their course reserve needs further.

Print Material Requests

Print Material Requests

The National Emergency Library is now closed (June 16, 2020).

If clients request items from our collections, and there are no electronic copies available, please refer them to the
"We'll Get It For You!" guide.
