Over the upcoming 9–10 weeks, Elsevier will be loading additional batches of corrections, causing an increase of approximately 10000 additional records each week until mid-December 2025. As these records will be included for AutoAlerts, this may drive an increase in the volume of AutoAlert results, depending on your AutoAlert settings and searches. The first increase in AutoAlert results can be expected for the AutoAlerts that run during or after the upcoming weekend of 25 October.

Secondly, following the addition of Clinical Trials (clinicaltrials.gov) records that were first loaded to Embase in May/June 2025, 60000 new and corrected ct.gov records were loaded in week 42 (202542.em.). As before these records were not included for AutoAlerts.

Finally, Ovid has decided to change the order of display for the PrePrints and Clinical Trials records. Starting on 25 October 2025, the Pre-prints (empp) and Clinical Trials records (emctr) will display after the most recent regular Embase records (Article-in-Press, Conference Abstracts and updated status Embase/MEDLINE records). This means that you no longer have to scroll past the pre-prints and CT.gov records to view the regular Embase results.
