Embase Triple Subheading Issue
Last week we were alerted to a data problem in Embase records added after 5 April 2024, with malformed values for the Triple Subheading (XT) field. As a consequence, the display of the XT field has been incorrect for recently added records, and searching in the XT field may have led to incomplete results for records with Entry week (EM) values of 202415, 202416 and 202417.
We'll replace the affected records overnight Friday 26 April to Saturday 27 April. If you searched the XT field after 5 April 2024, you may want to rerun your searches next week and limit your final results set to: (202415 or 202416 or 202417).em. to make sure you didn't miss any records.
If you didn't search the XT field recently, but you've exported or received Embase records including the XT field for the affected weeks, and you require a correct display of the triple subheading field, we recommend that you look up these records next week, e.g. by using the Accession Numbers (AN) of those records.
If you already retrieved records with XT values for entry weeks 202415, 202416 and 202417 through Ovid AutoAlerts, please note these records will not be alerted on again.
