NLM PubMed experienced an issue providing newly created PMIDs for PubMed/MEDLINE through their data distribution feed, from 21 August until 2 September.
As a consequence,  approximately 62,000 newly created records with Create Dates from 20250821 to 20250902  (DT – Create Date) were loaded with a delay to Ovid MEDLINE on 3 September 2025.
AutoAlerts that ran overnight 3 to 4 September and onwards will alert on these new records and therefore may return a one-time increase, compared to the usual counts.
