Beginning January 2025, the U.S. Government has been selectively removing and altering evidence-based health information on its websites and online resources.

On February 12, 2025, a court ordered the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Food and Drug Administration to restore some webpages and datasets that had been altered or removed to their state as of January 30, 2025. However, many of the restored webpages now contain a notice from the U.S. administration that is inaccurate and harmful.

At this time, caution is advised when consulting a U.S. Government website or resource, as information may be missing, misleading, harmful, or inaccurate.

You should pay close attention to the date the document or site you are viewing was last updated, and if it was updated after January 30, 2025, consider using the Wayback Machine to view an earlier version for comparison.

If you identify false or missing information on a page or resource you have accessed through a link on the WRHA Virtual Library website, please notify us at WRHA.VirtualLibrary@umanitoba.ca.

We want to hear from you!

The WRHA Virtual Library is conducting a WRHA Virtual Library Satisfaction Survey to gauge satisfaction with the resources and services provided by the library. All individuals who are eligible for WRHA Virtual Library services are invited to complete it.

Your opinion matters to us, so please consider completing the survey even if you aren't familiar with the library or have never used our collection or services.

You can complete the survey here. It should take less than 20 minutes to complete.

Your responses will be used to evaluate and improve the services and resources provided by the library.

The survey will be open until February 15, 2024.

If you have any questions/concerns about the survey please contact Tyler Ostapyk, WRHA Virtual Library Liaison Librarian, University of Manitoba, at tyler.ostapyk@umanitoba.ca or 204-296-5834.
