Speaker Bio

Jeffrey is the Scholarly Initiatives Librarian at Auraria Library, University of Colorado-Denver. His work involves informing the library and the Auraria Campus community about new and evolving aspects of scholarly communication, including open-access publishing, author and publisher misconduct, and scholarly publishing ethics.

Jeffrey is the author of Scholarly Open Access, a blog that tracks and critically analyzes questionable, open-access publishers and journals. An academic librarian for over 22 years, Jeffrey's research and writing has appeared in numerous publications, including College & Research Libraries, Cataloging & Classification Quarterly, the Journal of Academic Librarianship, and Nature.
