Administrative history: Physical Plant is responsible for the care and upkeep of all the buildings, property, and grounds of the University of Manitoba. These activities include caretaking, building maintenance, alterations and additions, grounds maintenance, energy conservation, deliveries, moving, vehicle rentals, keys, storage, and security and fire alarm systems.

Custodial history: The fonds was donated to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections in 1986 by Physical Plant.

Scope and content: The fonds includes files dealing with various university buildings and equipment and with suppliers who have dealt with Physical Plant.

Restrictions: Confidential material is restricted.
