Biographical sketch: W.H. (Bill) Pendree was born in Kerroburt, Saskatchewan in 1918. In 1939, Pendree married and began farming near Kindersley, Saskatchewan. In 1947, he moved to Ericksville, Manitoba and became the secretary treasurer of the Lakeshore School division. Upon retirement he moved to Winnipeg where he resides and writes as a hobby.

Custodial history: The fonds was donated to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by W.H. Pendree in 1994.

Scope and content: The fonds consists of two short stories entitled "The Last Straw" and "Starting Young," detailing life on the farm and human relationships.
