Title: Climate Change Is An Existential Crisis

Medium: Digital photography

Year: 2020

Artist Statement:

Climate Change is an existential crisis. Recent upheaval and activism regarding climate change, the academic inquiry into the Anthropocene, and foreseeable change in our relationship to the planet have brought new calls to action. Artists have described this change in human ways as a “deconstruction” and that of a “mask.” Some humans conceive they are wearing a mask; therefore they will need to change their mask - and this is frightening to them. Or, there are no masks at all.
