Criminology: General Social Survey

Click on Odesi (works better using Firefox or Chrome)
If off campus login with UMNet ID and password
On the Title bar, click on the blue "Browse" button
Click on the + before Social Surveys, then CANADA
Click on the + before General Social Survey
Click on Cycle 28, 2014 Victimization
Note that there is a main file and an incident file
Click on the Main file, metadata should load in the right frame
Above the frame, there is a bar with a series of icons
Click on the icon that looks like a floppy disc
You can now pick a format, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.
Click on the DOWNLOAD button
When available, save the file, noting where it is on your computer
Double click the file to unzip the saved file
Open up your statistical software and use it to open the survey
