My Favorites List

My Favorites allows you to store and organize items and searches.

My Favorites

To access My Favorites, click the link in the top-right corner of the page.

NOTE: items added to your favorites list are temporary and will be lost when you close your browser unless you are signed into your library account.


Saving Items

When you click the pin icon () for an item in the search results, the icon 'switches on.' Your item is automatically added to your favorites list. 

Note: saved items are temporary and will be lost when you close your browser, unless you sign into your library account.

Once you have pinned an item to your favorites list, the item will appear with a light yellow background instead of the usual grey. 

Items will remain on your favorites list unless you remove them. To remove the item from your favorites list, click on the unpin icon ().


View Your Favorites List

To view items in your favorites list, click on Go to My Favorites in the top-right corner of the page.


 

This will display your list. From this list, you can add personalized labels to any item, viewable only by you, to organize your items. Check off whichever items you want to add a label to and click on Add labels.

Your labels will now appear in a pane on the right-hand side of the screen. If you click on a label, all of the items with this label will appear. To remove a label, click on the Add or remove labels icon () beneath the item in the pane on the left-hand side of the screen and click on the Delete label icon ().

You can also export citations to a variety of citation managers. Click on the ellipsis (...) for menu options.


Saving and Managing Searches

You can save a search which you can retrieve at a later date, provided that you are logged into your library account. Click on Save query after you have searched for items. 

After you save your search, you will see the following alert message:

Click on Turn on notification for this query to be alerted anytime there are new results added to your search. A pop-up window will appear and enter whichever email you want the alerts to be sent to. Click Save to save the alert.


To retrieve your saved searches, turn off alerts, and to unpin searches, click on the My Favorites icon ()at the top-right hand of the screen. Then click on the Saved searches tab. 

Use the icons on the right-hand side to set an RSS feed, set or turn off alerts, and unpin (remove) searches.
