Why Log into Your Account?

When you log into your library account, you will be able to:

  • Request library items.
  • Access library-licensed items.
  • Set personalized settings and information.
  • Save items and searches to your favorites list.

How to Log into My Account

To access your library account online you can sign in directly from the Libraries' homepage with the My Account link 

Alternatively, when searching, you can also click on the Sign In link with the yellow background.



Sign in using your UMNetID or 14-digit library card number.

Another way to login is to click on Guest, then Sign In located in the top right-hand corner of the screen as shown below.

 


Once logged in you will be able to see your library account details and your name will be displayed near the top right of the screen in bold text.


My Account Details

Once you are logged into your library account, you can view details on your loansrequestsfines and feesblocks, and your contact information. To view your account details, click on your name at the top-right corner of the screen.

Then click on My Account.

 

The account details home page will appear with your account details.


How to Renew Your Loans

You can renew the items you have already checked out ("loans") to give you more time with the item.

First you will need to log into "My Account" (see steps above). My Account is where you will see which books you have signed out. Click on My Account to be brought to your account page to see this information.

To renew your materials, be sure that it is close to the due date otherwise you will be wasting one of your renewals.

Click on either Renew All or click on the Loans tab and click on Renew to renew individual items.

 

Once you have successfully renewed your item(s), you will receive an email with the new due date. The new due date will also be visible in your account details.
