Henry Herbert Cosman:

Call Number: A2003-35

Title: Henry Herbert Cosman Collection

Dates: [194-?]-1959

Extent: 6 objects

Custodial history: These items were donated to the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by Henry Herbert Cosman in 2002. The items that make up this collection belonged to Henry Herbert Cosman who graduated from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medicine in 1949. The university letters were given to Cosman because he was a member of the Faculty of Medicine swim team in the mid-1940s. The donated programs represent two different events: a Medical graduate’s farewell party held at the Royal Alexandra hotel in Winnipeg; and a program for a dinner party held at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa for University of Manitoba alumni in the Ottawa area.

Scope and content: The collection consists of two letter “M’s”; a University of Manitoba crest showing the staff of Caduceus; a University of Manitoba varsity crest showing a downhill skier; the program for the Medicine class of 1948 farewell party; and a program for a dinner party at the Chateau Laurier for University of Manitoba alumni in the Ottawa area in 1959.
