Grey Literature

Both Google and Google Scholar are useful tools for searching for grey literature, publications which have not gone through a formal publishing process as with books or journal articles. When using Google Scholar, you will often encounter paywalls.

  • The Lean Library browser extension can be used to find library subscriptions when you hit paywalls, or
  • Connect Google Scholar to library subscriptions. On the Google Scholar webpage menu, select Settings, then Library Links, then search for the University of Manitoba - Check Library Access and click Save.
