Benjamin is a General Librarian in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Division at the University of Manitoba Libraries (UML). They are the liaison librarian for Religion, Catholic Studies, Peace & Conflict Studies, Economics, and Education. Their role at UML includes collection development; teaching information literacy; and providing reference services for faculty, students, and staff.
They received their MI from the University of Toronto in 2021. As a researcher, they apply process philosophy to emerging areas of pedagogy and instructional design in academic libraries. In their current project, they are developing a holistic approach to library instruction called Integral Information Literacy (IIL). They are passionate about helping their community to think critically and reach their full creative potential.
