Open Access Publishing

Open Access logoThe Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), collectively known as the Tri-Agencies, introduced the Open Access Policy on Publications in March 2015. Under this policy, researchers receiving grants from CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC must provide free and unrestricted online access to their resulting peer-reviewed journal articles within 12 months of publication.
