UpToDate Lexidrug Mobile Renewal or First-Time Installation

ELIGIBILITY: University of Manitoba students, medical residents, and full-time faculty at the Bannatyne campus. There are a limited number of accounts which are available on a first-come basis and restricted to one account per person.  

 INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE: If you are no longer affiliated with the UofM your license cannot be renewed. 

  • For new users (first time installation):
    • NOTE: You MUST use your UofM email address (umanitoba.ca OR myumanitoba.ca). This will be the primary means to contact you about Lexi issues. If you do not have a UM email address you can claim your ID from the University's SignUM system.
    • Visit Access your Lexidrug App
    • choose your device and follow the steps carefully.
  • For renewal:
    • Visit UpToDate LexiDrug
    •  Click the MOBILE ACCESS CODES under "Help and Training Resources". 
    • follow the steps carefully.

DEVICE CHANGES OR UPGRADES

If you change or upgrade your device, try to re-install and log in on your new device. It may give you an option to choose your new device to replace your old device. If that does not happen contact the Lexi Help Line below so they can change their records and advise you on the appropriate procedure for re-installation on the new device.

The Lexidrug mobile subscription is licensed for use by University of Manitoba students, medical residents and full-time faculty and staff at the Bannatyne campus. 

Problem browser extensions

Some installed browser extensions such as Zotero Web Importer and Lean Library Browser Extension can create error messages when you are first trying to create your Lexi account.  It's best to temporarily disable or uninstall them before you create your account.  

Disabling Browser Extensions

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Select More. More tools. Extensions.
  3. Turn off the extension you want to disable.

Safari

  1. Choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences), then click Extensions.
  2. To turn off an extension, deselect its checkbox.

FireFox

  1. Click the menu button. , click Add-ons and themes and select Extensions. The Add-ons Manager Manage Your Extensions page will open in a new tab.
  2. Scroll through the list of extensions.
  3. Click the blue toggle for the extension you wish to disable.

Microsoft Edge

  1. In Microsoft Edge, select Extensions located to the right of your browser address bar, then select Manage extensions.
  2. Select the toggle next to the extension you want to turn off.

Don't forget to turn them back on again!
