Importing references from an article database

Steps:

  1. Search an article database (see Databases A-Z)
  2. Select the article citations required
  3. Export using RIS file format (this process will be different for each database)
  4. Open Mendeley
  5. Click + Add New
  6. Click Import Library >
  7. Click RIS (*.RIS)

Try it using the following examples...

OVID databases (Medline, Embase, PsychInfo)

This is a ready-made search that you can use to download results.

  1. Select all the results
  2. Click Export
  3. Select the format = RIS
  4. Select the fields = complete reference
  5. Click Export
  6. Save and name the file to your computer
