Open Educational Resources (OER)

What are Open Educational Resources?

OER are teaching materials like textbooks and lesson plans that have been made freely available online by their authors; generally CC-BY licenses allow them to be used, reproduced, and modified. Although they are generally not created to align with Manitoban curricula, they can be adapted to suit your purposes. When using or adapting OER, you are required to provide attribution to the author(s).

Teach BC
TeachBC is an online resource of teaching materials, lessons, and research relevant to the K-12 BC curriculum. The website is public and open to everyone through the generosity of BC public school teachers.
The Orange Grove
The Orange Grove is Florida's OER repository. Follow the link to browse the K-12 collection.
Mason OER Metafinder (MOM)
The Mason OER Metafinder searches 17 OER repositories at once. Note that although the it does search repositories that contain K-12 content, most of the content is at the postsecondary level.
