COPYRIGHT
Canada’s Copyright Act governs the making of photocopies, digital copies, or other reproductions of copyright-protected works and the sharing or communicating of such works. The Fair Dealing provision of the Act permits the use of a work without permission for the purposes of education (your own or someone else’s), among other purposes. In general, copying up to 10% of a work, or an entire work from a source containing other works, is allowed for Fair Dealing purposes. For more information, see the Copyright Office website, or contact the Copyright Office at um_copyright@umanitoba.ca or 204-474-9607.
The University of Manitoba is not liable for any infringing copies made or communicated using University copiers or scanners.
