Hal is the Liaison Librarian for the College of Rehabilitation Sciences and an Assistant Librarian with the University of Manitoba. He graduated from the McGill University where he received a Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences in 1995. He has held a position at the University of Manitoba Libraries from 2004 – present.
In his roles with the Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library, he is responsible for providing reference services and training for faculty, staff and students at the University of Manitoba Bannatyne Campus and more specifically the College of Rehabilitation Sciences.

Project Summary - The purpose of this research is to test the acquisition and retention of information literacy skills acquired by dental hygiene and rehabilitation science students over the duration of their academic programmes, and again once they have entered professional practice.
