How to search - UML Search & Business Databases

Searching the University of Manitoba Libraries

Navigate to the UML search page.

Sample search terms: “case study handbook”, “business case”

Search Tips:

  • Use subject filters to narrow your results. E.g., business, business ethics, etc.
  • Use quotation marks " " around a concept of two or more words to search for exact phrase. E.g., "business case"

Searching UML Business-Specific Databases

Find the following business specific databases in our Subject Guides (e.g. Business Administration) or in the UML Databases A-Z List

Sample search terms: "business ethics", "business plan", entrepreneurship, loans, management, supply chain etc.

Search Tips:

  • Run an advanced search, under “Document Type” select “business case” or “case study”
  • Then pick a company or topic to search, enter in the search field and click search.
  • Use filters on the results page to limit your results to “Full Text”
