How to search using Ovid

Create a free Ovid account that allows you to access extra features. These include

Note:  The free Ovid account is a single account used across ALL Ovid databases subscribed to by the UM Libraries.

1. From database main search page, click on My Account (link; top center of the page).
2. Click Create Account (button).
3. Fill in the Create Personal Account (form).
   1. Personal Account ID - Do not use your UMNetID, select something unique to you.
   2. Password - Do not use your UMNetID password, select something you will find easy to remember.
   3. Email Address - Do use your UM email address, this will make it easier if you need help later.
   4. Enter your First Name and Last Name.
4. Click Create Account (button).

1. From database main search page, click on My Account (link; top center of the page).
2. Enter your Ovid Personal Account ID and your Password.
3. Click Sign in (button).
