To download company data as an Excel file from Mergent, click the Download button on the right-hand side of the screen.
Reports (annual, analyst reports) will load in pdf format that can be downloaded to your computer.
News stories will pop up in a new window and can be printed to pdf to be saved to your computer.
On the homepage, enter company name or ticker symbol in the search box then click "Go".
“Executives” tab > select “Directors” for board make up > select “Committees” (e.g. corporate governance committee)
“Annual Reports” tab > Look for annual report or 10k
Company information includes:

- “Search for Company Documents”
- Enter name of company in the search bar
Click on the company name to see their profile.
Document types include Management Discussion & Analysis documents, news releases, filings, financial statements, etc.
Sample search string: [Company name] AND (environment* OR sustainability)
Boolean operators:
Use AND to search multiple key words
Use parentheses to combine key words together
Use * for truncation (e.g. searches “environment”, “environmental”, etc.)
Use OR to look for instances of one keyword or another
Sample search string: [Company name] AND sustainability AND "board of directors"
Use filters to limit search (e.g. published in the previous two years)
