Steps and examples to try

Add entry manually using either an identifier or citation information.

Steps for an Identifier:

  1. Open Zotero.
  2. Click [Magic wand tool].
  3. Copy and paste the identifier and hit Enter. Reference is automatically added and highlighted.

Try it using these examples...

Add using the magic wand icon and one of the following identifiers (ISBN, DOI, PMID, URL, arXiv ID, ADS Bibcode).

In order of appearance the numbers represent a DOI, ISBN and arXiv ID.

Steps for citation information:

  1. Open Zotero.
  2. Click the green circle with white plus sign (icon).
  3. Select the type of reference being added.
  4. Fill in the information (tab) with the appropriate information. Clicking outside of the Information (tab) will automatically save the reference.
