Make citing and reference lists easy

Citation management software can make make citing and referencing very easy, especially when using a numbered style like the AMA Style. Librarians at the UM support EndNote, Zotero and Mendeley.  To learn more check out our citation management software guide below.

Academic integrity

  • Anytime you incorporate someone else’s ideas into your own work, it is necessary to acknowledge the source of that idea.
    • This is relevant to work such as papers/essays, lab reports, presentations, and posters.
    • Citations allow others to see where you got your work and makes it easy for readers to learn more
  • Be proactive and cite your sources (see Step 1: When to Cite)
