The Family Farm

No enterprise has been more germane to Prairie life than the family farm. The archives holds the records of many family farm operations. These collections are essential to the documenting of the day to day existence of the farmer. Using account books, grain permit books, diaries, ledgers and photographs it is possible for researchers to piece together the essence of agrarian life. The department holds several fine collections many dating back to the 19th century.
